The main things to fix
Ranked by how much each one is likely to cost you in visitors and enquiries.
No major issues found. This page covers the basics well.
Scores come from a lab test and can move a few points between runs. Treat them as a guide: what matters in the end is whether the site brings you enquiries.
What the free website check looks at
Four things decide whether a visitor from Google turns into an enquiry. The check tests the page you enter on a simulated mid-range phone and reports on each one.
Mobile speed
How quickly your page appears on a typical phone over a mobile connection. Most small-business visitors arrive on a phone, and a slow first screen is the most common reason they leave.
SEO
Whether Google can read and list the page: title, description, links, crawl rules and status codes. These are the foundations; rankings also depend on your content, reviews and sites that link to you.
Accessibility
Whether text is readable, buttons have names, images have descriptions and the page works with a keyboard or screen reader. The easier the site is to use, the more people reach your contact button.
Best practices
Security and modern standards: HTTPS, no errors in the browser, images that display correctly and nothing outdated that browsers warn about.
How to read your scores
90–100
Good
The basics are in place. Small gains are still possible, but this is not what is holding you back.
50–89
Needs work
Visitors notice. Fixing the top issues usually brings the score up quickly.
0–49
Poor
This is likely costing you visitors and enquiries every day. Worth fixing first.
Questions about the website check
Pricing Is the website check really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no email needed to see your report. You only hear from us if you ask for a proposal.
Where do the results come from?
The check runs Google's public PageSpeed Insights test, which loads your page on a simulated mid-range phone over a mobile connection. We translate the technical report into plain language and show the issues that matter most to a small business.
Why do my scores change each time I run it?
Lab tests are affected by network and server load, so a few points up or down is normal. Look at the band (good, needs work or poor) rather than a single number.
My site scores well. Does that mean it will rank on Google?
Not on its own. A good score means the technical basics are in place. Rankings also depend on what your pages say, your Google Business Profile, your reviews and other sites linking to you. That is the work professional SEO covers.
Does the check test my whole website?
It tests the one page you enter, usually your homepage. Other pages can have different problems, so if you want a full review, send us the address and we'll look through the whole site by hand.
What does it cost to fix the issues?
It depends on what is wrong. Small fixes on an existing site can be quick, and a rebuild is often better value than patching a slow, dated site. Custom websites start from €550, or €0 upfront and €150 a month excl. VAT for 24 months with hosting, changes and professional SEO included. Ask for a free proposal and we'll tell you which makes sense.
