A custom web app makes sense when a standard website can’t do what you need. You might want customers or partners to log in and see their own information, staff to manage a process in one place, or users to upload, share or book something in a way no ready-made plugin handles well.
If a well-built WordPress site can do the job, we’ll say so, because that is usually quicker and less expensive. If it can’t, B63 designs and builds the app around your needs.
What a custom web app can be
Every app is different. A few examples of what one can be:
- Portals for clients, members or partners, with logins and personal areas.
- Internal tools that replace spreadsheets and long email threads with one shared system.
- Booking, request or ordering systems built around your process rather than a generic plugin.
- Event and media apps, like our own product, Relivv.
Our own web app: Relivv
Relivv is B63’s own custom web app: a live photo wall and guest album for events. We designed and built it ourselves, and it’s the clearest example of the kind of web app work we do. See the Relivv project.
Building and running our own product also means we understand web apps from the owner’s side, not just the developer’s.
How it works
- Tell us the problem. Describe what the app should do, who will use it, and any deadlines. Start on the contact page.
- Scoping call. We go through the details together: users, features, data, and what “finished” looks like.
- Quote. You receive a quote for the agreed scope before any work starts.
- Design and build. B63 designs the interface and builds the app, with your feedback along the way.
- Launch. The app goes live. Hosting and ongoing support are discussed as part of the quote.
What it costs
Custom web apps are quoted per project. They are not part of the €0 upfront, €150 per month website plan, because no two apps take the same amount of work.
The main things that affect the price:
- the number and complexity of features
- how many types of users and permission levels there are
- integrations with other systems or services
- the level of design detail and the number of screens
A clear, agreed scope keeps the quote honest on both sides and avoids surprises halfway through.
