A website subscription from B63 costs €0 upfront and €150 a month excluding VAT for 24 months (€3,600 in total), with the build, hosting, domain, support, edits and SEO in one fixed fee. Most sites go live 7–10 days after we receive your content, and when the term ends the code, files, content and domain stay with you.
The word “subscription” puts people off, because it sounds like renting something you will never own. That is not how our plan works, so this page spells out the model in full: what the monthly fee covers, what happens after 24 months, what leaving early costs, and when paying once is the better choice.
How a website subscription works
With a traditional build you pay the whole amount before the site exists, then find hosting, renew the domain and call a developer whenever something breaks. On a subscription B63 takes all of that on: we design and build the site, launch it and look after it, and you pay the same amount every month, the way you pay for your phone or your accounting software.
The cost of the build is spread across the monthly fee. That is why the term is 24 months: it is how long it takes to pay off the design and development work. After that, the site is yours.
What the monthly fee covers
- The build. A design based on your brand and a fast custom-built site that loads well on a phone. Online stores, or sites where you prefer it, are built on WordPress.
- Hosting and SSL. The site runs on hosting we manage. There is no separate bill and no server to think about.
- Domain. We register or transfer your domain and renew it on time, every year.
- Daily checks and backups. We check that the site is up and take a backup every day, so there is always a recent copy to restore from.
- Technical support. A form that stops sending, a page that looks wrong, an error message: you tell us and we deal with it.
- Content edits. New prices, opening hours, a service or a photo: send the change and we make it.
- SEO. Page titles and descriptions, a clean structure, structured data and a sitemap so Google can find you. More on the SEO and page speed page.
- Google Search Console and Bing. We register the site with both search engines and keep an eye on how it is indexed.
- Google Business Profile. We set up or tidy your business profile on Google so you show up on the map as well.
- AI search optimisation. We structure the content so ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI answers can quote it. See AI search optimisation.
All of it is one figure: €150 a month excluding VAT. What the ongoing care involves, in detail, is on the website maintenance page.
24 months, then the site is yours
The subscription runs for 24 months. When it ends, you choose:
- Renew, and B63 keeps hosting and maintaining the site.
- Take full ownership of the code, files, content and domain and move the site to any host you like. We help with the transfer.
The site is built on standard, open technology, so any competent developer or hosting company can pick it up from there. There is no proprietary system keeping you with us.
If you want to leave early
The most common worry with a subscription is being locked in. So leaving early has a cap: you pay the remaining monthly fees, capped at 12 months’ fees, and you receive the files and the domain. End the plan after month 18 and you owe only the 6 months left. You never pay to lose your website.
Live in 7–10 days
- Tell us about your business: what you do, who your customers are, which websites you like.
- Send your content: text, photos and logo. If something is missing, we tell you exactly what.
- We design and build the site and send you a preview link.
- Launch. Most sites go live 7–10 days after we receive the content. We connect the domain, switch on SSL and submit the site to Google and Bing.
- We look after it every month of the term.
Subscription or one-time build
Prefer to pay once and run the site yourself? A one-time build starts from €550 including VAT and covers design, setup and optimisation. Hosting, domain, updates and backups are then up to you.
| Website subscription | One-time build | |
|---|---|---|
| Upfront | €0 | From €550 incl. VAT |
| After that | €150 a month excl. VAT for 24 months | No monthly fee |
| Hosting, domain, backups | B63 | You |
| Edits and technical support | B63 | You, or a paid specialist |
| SEO, Search Console, Business Profile, AI search | Included | On request |
| After 24 months | Renew or take the site with you | Everything is yours from day one |
Which option costs less over two years depends on who will maintain the site. We work it out line by line in monthly website plan vs one-time build.
Who the subscription is for
The subscription suits small business owners who want a professional site now, without a large upfront payment, and have nobody to deal with hosting, updates and backups. It also suits you if you change prices, services or photos often and want someone else to make the changes.
It suits you less if you already have a developer, or if you maintain WordPress sites yourself without trouble; in that case a one-time build usually works out cheaper over the long run. If you are in the UK or the US, the pay monthly websites page has the same plan in pounds and dollars. Prefer other ways of looking at it? Website leasing frames it as a lease to own, Website as a Service explains the model in general, and a website with no upfront cost shows how the build is paid for.
Both options sit side by side on the pricing page. Not sure which is right for you? Send us a few lines about your business and we will tell you honestly, even if the answer is a one-time build.
